The TTU School of Medicine Class Councils and Texas Health Law Association, in partnership with TTU School of Law, joining together to raise money for the Lubbock Impact Free Clinic on Sunday.
The fundraiser was held at Caprock Winery. The clinic sees the homeless and uninsured population of Lubbock. It is run by medical students, who said it's great practice.
"For the medical students, it's really a great clinic because they get practice in seeing patients, running labs, and they present to physicians who are the ones who write the prescription and sees the patient in person and runs any labs they think are necessary. It's all part to get these patients taken care of," said Taylor Warmoth, a second-year medical student.
The Impact Clinic is opened every Wednesday night from 6-9 p.m.
