Enrollment numbers for the fall semester are in for South Plains College.

SPC saw a drop in its enrollment as 9,606 is the official number of students this semester, which is down 78 students from last fall.

Compare this fall to previous semesters, SPC had 9,678 students enrolled for Fall 2012 and 10,549 enrolled for Fall of 2011.

The President of South Plains College blames the low numbers on the unemployment rate in our region.

A 0.78% decrease from last fall is no reason to call it low numbers. That is a difference of less than One percent. Get over it, and instruct those who are there.
