South Plains College president Kelvin Sharp says a technology problem is probably what led the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to place the Levelland community college on accreditation warning status.
Dr. Sharp says a website management change coincided with the submission of reports to the commission, and several informational links referred to in the documents were not working for a time.
Dr. Sharp says he will get the official letter in January explaining the specific problems noted by reviewers.
He says he's confident the warning status will be removed upon reconsideration next December.
