Two teachers testified for the defense Thursday, in the punishment phase for a teenager convicted of aggravated robbery.
On Wednesday, a jury found 17-year-old Cage Chaparro guilty of an October 2012 home invasion near 77th and Quaker.
The victims reported three armed suspects wore masks, and kicked in the door, made threats, then stole property.
One teacher, who was also the defendant's neighbor, testified she's never known Chaparro to be a troublemaker or a gang member.
Another teacher in an outreach program said she doesn't believe Chaparro's is mature enough to understand the consequences of his actions.
Testimony scheduled to resume on Tuesday.
