Sentencing is set for Tuesday in Amarillo Federal Court for a former Tech student who was convicted of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.
A jury found Khalid Aldawsari guilty in June. The 22-year-old Saudi native faces up to life in prison.
FBI agents arrested Aldawsari, who attended South Plains College, at his Lubbock apartment in February 2011. He was collecting materials to make a bomb, with specific targets including the home of former president George W. Bush.
