Sam's Club has a new address in Lubbock. It's less than a mile away from the old location which closed its doors Wednesday night.
The new building, in the Canyon West Shopping Center, is one-third larger.
Its floor space will be used entirely to display merchandise. Elevated ceilings allow for more storage of inventory on pallets above the shelving. The store employs 250 associates and attracts clients from a 100-mile radius.
The grand opening is Thursday at 7:30 a.m. Former Dallas Cowboy Charles Haley will also be on hand to sign autographs.
