A repeat drunken driver on probation could be heading to prison. Court records show William Jayson Ellison, 39 of Levelland, has been arrested six times for drunk driving in various counties, and this is his fifth conviction.

According to police reports, Ellison most recently caused a collision while intoxicated in Lubbock July 27, 2013. The collision was at Milwaukee Avenue and 83rd Street and injured another driver. Ellison attempted to flee the scene and used force against an officer. His blood alcohol content measured 0.271 when he was arrested, over three times the legal limit of 0.08.

Ellison entered a guilty plea in Lubbock County District Court Monday morning for the felony charge of third DWI or more. He will be sentenced Tuesday in the 137th District Court.
