Lubbock Congressman Randy Neugebauer has introduced legislation that will bar funding for public educators who offer abortion counseling and services.
The Protect Life in Funding Education Act restricts federal funds to state and local education agencies that perform abortions or provide abortion-related materials, referrals, or suggestions to any students.
“Abortion providers don't belong in our schools,” Neugebauer said. “The PRO-LIFE Act ensures that federal funds aren't going to school systems that allow student health centers to perform or advocate for abortions.”
The PRO-LIFE Act targets the Los Angeles Unified School District's partnership with Planned Parenthood which allows the largest abortion clinic in the U.S. to set up an on-campus clinic at an L.A. high school.
