The New Deal High School Band is back from its first-ever UIL state competition. And they've got good reason to celebrate.

The Lions Band placed sixth out of close to 400 1-A bands. Photos in the linked video were sent to us by Chrystal.

Some junior high students made signs to welcome the band home. The band is directed by Jim Nance and his wife Kay.
