The public project, Art on the Llano, is continuing to install sculptures around Lubbock.
The statue titled, "Moon River” is the second of seven sculptures to be erected within the next year.
Artist Michelle O'Michael said West Texas is the perfect place to display her work.
"The art program out here is wonderful,” O’Michael said, “and the artwork is appreciated so I'm delighted to be here."
Art on the Llano spotlights Lubbock's thriving art scene. Each piece is on loan from the artist and will be on display for two years.
You can see, “Moon River” at the South Loop 289 and the I-27 flyover.
