The suspect arrested last month following a chase and standoff with deputies was indicted in Hale County.37-year-old Michael Akin is charged with attempted murder. His bond is set at $250,000.
Hale County deputies, while trying to serve an arrest warrant, pursued Akin across two counties. He was taken into custody after a standoff with officers at a house near Idalou.
Akin is accused of stabbing 47-year-old Carlos Gonzales near the victim's home north of Petersburg the day before his capture.
