Texas Rangers will now be helping in the investigation of the disappearance of a woman from Hockley county. 30 year-old Maegan Hembree was last seen at her home near Smyer five months ago.

Hembree's family reported her missing on February 27th. She is white, approximately four foot eleven, weighs approximately 120 pounds and has tattoos on her left shoulder and lower left leg. She was wearing pajama pants and a hooded sweatshirt.

Hembree's car was located at an apartment complex in West Lubbock a few days after her disappearance.

Captain Nolan Seaton with the Hockley County Sheriff's office said the assistance of the Texas Rangers helps expand the search and the investigative resources. If you have any information that could help in this case, contact the Hockley county sheriff's office.
