Midland continues to have the lowest unemployment rate in the state at three percent. The McAllen-Edinburg area as the highest at 10.5 percent.
The state's unemployment rate remains steady for the third straight month at 6.4 percent. Texas added more than 33,000 non-farm jobs in April. The national unemployment rate is 7.5 percent.
