In other words, a generic label 3 liter soda that sells for 99 cents would be over $2.00 . The tax exceeds 100 per cent of the sales price. I was wondering when Big Brother would try to tax us at 100 per cent. This is now the state of Taxes. Imposing a soda tax will not make education any better. It is merely a way for Big Brother to line its own pockets. What is next? Are they going to make us show a photo ID to the cashier when purchasing a Dr Pepper. I might understand if the charge was 1 cent for each ounce of Syrup in the beverage, but not for each ounce of water in the container as well. TEXAS = TAXES
