Students at the Harmony Science Academy in Lubbock have spent the last two weeks raising money to help the Lubbock Fire Department provide smoke detectors to families who need them.
On Tuesday, the students presented a check for $1,421 dollars to the LFD. Mayor Pro Tem Karen Gibson and Representative Charles Perry were on hand for the presentation.
