Back to school shopping which has been made possible for a few more kids this school year. The Salvation Army has provided gift cards to 19 children. They can now slip into a new outfit for those first day photos. Also donated were backpacks and school supplies.
Major Tim Gardner, Corps Officer for the Salvation Army of Lubbock, said the confidence these kids receive from a new shirt or backpack makes all the difference in raising their performance at school.
This shopping spree is part of a national effort that benefits 12,000 students.
