Local sales of a special cookbook are serving up a big helping of cash for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Representatives
of Dillard’s present the organization with a check for more than $24,000.The proceeds come from sales of Dillard’s custom edition of the "Southern Living Christmas Cookbook." The money will benefit families needing a home away from home while their child is receiving medical treatment in Lubbock.
“We have the Ronald McDonald house, we have 3 Ronald McDonald family rooms, and we have the Ronald McDonald care mobile,” Dina Jeffries, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities said. “All together those programs serve over 12 thousand people each year.”
Since 2000, Lubbock Dillard’s has raised nearly $100,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the southwest during the holiday season.
