Beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday, September 19th downtown drivers will be diverted around an area cordoned off for the 11th annual Hub City Barbecue Cookoff.
The event will close off Broadway from Avenue N to Avenue K, Avenue L between Broadway and Main Street, and Avenue K between Broadway and Main Street.
Travelers are urged to take alternate routes Wednesday and Thursday.
The chamber of commerce-sponsored cookoff takes place Thursday, September 20th from 5 to 8 p.m. with over 100 teams competing for bragging rights.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate, at the Chamber of Commerce office, or from Select-A-Seat.
