High speed chase through central Lubbock ends with arrest

Lubbock Police responded to a robbery call and ended up in a high-speed chase through central Lubbock Wednesday.

The victim told police he was walking near 45th Street and Avenue L at about 1:15 p.m. when he was approached by a man with a gun. He said the man sped off in an SUV.

Police said the driver stopped in the 4300 block of 40th Street after running several red lights and stop signs. He then fled on foot.

Officers located the suspect and took him into custody.
