Lubbock city councilwoman Karen Gibson proposed some changes to a soon-to-be committee on homeless issues.
Among her suggested revisions giving the group six months instead of 15 to report back to council.
Its mission is to study how to improve coordination among the various organizations dealing with all aspects of the homeless problem.
Gibson said she tweaked the membership, however to add on to the "no taxpayer money" pledge for the effort.
"I've got no liason at all so that means no city staff whatsoever," Gibson said. "I have said before, I don't want any city funds spent on this, and I think we can do it without city funds."
Council will vote on Gibson's resolution Monday.
