The City Council could be on the verge of settling another part of a longstanding legal battle with its former health insurance administrator.
Mayor Tom Martin confirmed the city has received an executed settlement offer with Health Smart Holdings, which used to be known as the Ted Parker Group.
He said he does not know the details of the offer yet.
Mayor Martin plans to call a special meeting Monday for city council members to vote on whether to accept it.
The council ended the city's contract with the Parker Group in 2006 amid questions about whether the companies profited beyond that contractual agreement.
An audit prepared for related litigation that has already been settled is still not released due to orders from judges in Travis and Dallas counties.
