Texas Tech may be sporting a new uniform for this week’s game but the Wounded Warrior projects efforts don't stop there. Under Armor teamed with Tech to raise money and awareness for those soldiers injured in the war.

Thursday night residents are asked to turn on their porch lights in support of those who have served.

"To lead our soldiers through the fog of war,” Danny Koch with the Wounded Warrior Project said. “Also maybe just a token of appreciation that the home land has not been attacked since 9/11, and why? Because our military has performed heroically."

One soldier, Sal Giunta, who is the first living Medal of Honor recipient since Vietnam, will be in attendance.

He will take part in the Raider Walk and coin toss, and speak to the team before the game.
