They have been dubbed "The Greatest Generation."

World War II Glider veterans  rebuilt old friendships and shared memories at their 40th anniversary at Lubbock's Silent Wings Museum. Lubbock served as a major training ground for glider pilots during the war.

Many lived through close calls they shared with Fox 34. We were priveleged to hear their accounts first-hand.

Many brought their families along because the families are who they count on to carry their legacy.
