A sandstorm rolled into Lubbock around 5:50 dropping the temperature 15 to 20 degrees in a matter of minutes.

Brown covered the sky as the storm left its mark on Lubbock territory. Knocking over power lines and stirring trash it was evident damage was to be done.

The Lubbock Internation Airport took a hit with over-turned planes, a blown away hanger roof, and hole in the Airport Fire Department roof.

Winds ranged from 58 to 72 miles per hours taking out windows at the Texas Tech Architecture building.
