Left alone by the side of road one year ago Thursday in Sweetwater, Angel Flores is safe and a in a new home. Flores was abandoned by his father Carlos Rico on June 28th.
Rico claimed he had a religious experience that led him to choke his son and leave him for dead next to Interstate-20 by Sweewater.
In court Tuesday, an agreement was reached for Flores to reside with a paternal great uncle here in Lubbock.
A district judge has yet to approve the order. Rico's parental rights were revoked. Flores' mother Dana Campos will be allowed supervised visits.
