LPD arrested a woman in connection to a west Lubbock apartment fire.

Firefighters and officers responded to the Aspen Village Apartments in the 5400 block of 50th Street at around 5:30 Tuesday morning. Deputy Fire Marshall Robert Loveless reported 55-year-old Cynthia Parchman was involved in a disturbance with neighbors as her apartment was burning. According to witnesses, Parchman said God told her to start the fire.

Parchman is in custody on a charge of resisting arrest.
