A suspected kidnapper arrested in Lubbock will soon be extradited back to Nacogdoches.

LPD officers found 15-year old Nomei Velazquez at the Sunset Square Motel led there by the suspect Juan Delacruz.

Velazquez went missing after school Monday.  The search for her focused on Lubbock when her cell phone pinged Tuesday night near 19th and University.

An off duty LPD officer located the suspect vehicle parked next to the new residence hall under construction near 19th and Indiana.

A short time later a search for Delacruz ended with his arrest.

LPD Sergeant Jason Lewis said, "Delacruz was mixed in with several other construction workers he was hiding out amongst those other construction workers. It was good that we had the response that we did because had we not the response that we did I'm sure that he could have slipped away."

Police report Velazquez wasn't harmed. Delacruz faces aggravated kidnapping charges.
