It's a tradition that leaves many with full stomachs. The 20th annual Community-Wide Thanksgiving Dinner feeds many every year.
It's sponsored by our sister station Magic 93.7, United Supermarkets, and First United Methodist Church.
On the menu, turkey and all the traditional trimmings. Even the Texas Tech men's basketball team were there to serve and take pictures.
Doug Chapman, with First United Methodist Church, said "What we found is that it enables the community especially the downtown area to come together and celebrate their blessings." "It is a way to connect people that often times don't get a chance to connect."
Chapman said they fed about 1,200 Saturday. He said thanks to sponsors they are able to put this together every year. The dinner is always the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
