A defendant sentenced after pleading guilty to child pornography charges will appeal his conviction and sentence.
Attorneys for Lyle Shane Johnson filed a notice of intent to take the case to the Fifth Circuit Court. Johnson, 43, admitted in August to six counts of production and attempted production of child pornography involving six separate victims.
Lubbock federal judge Sam Cummings ordered Johnson to serve six concurrent 30-year prison terms for the crimes.
