A Fox 34 follow-up on Wednesday's political sign vandalism that reportedly escalated into a punch in the mouth for the man trying to catch the culprits on video.
The Lubbock Democrats posted the video on its Facebook page after police investigated the incident reviewed and returned it.
Leo Flores said when one of the four men saw him with his video camera, they shouted racial slurs at him, drove away, and came back. He said while the video doesn't show the entire incident he was on the phone with a 9-1-1 operator through it all.
"One of them went up to the camera. hit it," he said. "They were trying to take the camera away from me. They were trying to intimidate me in a way. Before I knew it I was being punched."
Flores said so far he has not pressed charges against the suspects he thinks may be college students. He said he's thinking about their future and the lesson of learning respect for others.
