As a community-wide strategic planning process begins, the state's demographer offered insight Tuesday into the population part of the equation. The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce played host to Lloyd Potter. He says Texas and Lubbock are experiencing growth that includes increasing cultural diversity.
"It's something that is I think important for everybody to recognize and understand and embrace and really try to understand the opportunities that presents and try to figure out ways that we can capitalize on those opportunities," Potter said.
Potter added there is a particularly significant and steady growth in the Hispanic population.
