Lubbock ISD trustees voted Thursday to offer an early notification incentive to full time contract employees who intend to resign or retire at the end of the school year. The $1,500 payment is available to personnel who submit their notice by February 29th.Teachers and others are not required to give notice until early June. Administrators said knowing staffing needs earlier allows more time to recruit and hire personnel to fill openings more efficiently.
