"Where old things become new." That's the slogan of Resurrection Funky Junk, a fundraising event benefiting the Lubbock Dream Center.

Volunteers work all year to organize the boutique warehouse sale and invest time into "resurrecting" items from defected and dingy to darling and dazzling.

Items include funky junk furniture, upscale resale clothing for women, teens and young girls as well as accessories, personalized designs, gourmet treats, creative gifts and more.

In addition to shopping, guests can enjoy 18 vendors offering a variety of food and entertainment. Each vendor donates 10 percent of what they make to the Lubbock Dream Center, and a two dollar entry fee benefits the center as well.

The Lubbock Dream center serves around 600 people each week through a number of ministries including clothing, job skills training and food services.

The 3rd annual Resurrection Funky Junk will take place on Saturday, February 23 at Church on The Rock from 9am to 6pm.
