Lubbock City Council accepts Sam Medina's resignation

Lubbock City Council formally accepts former City Attorney Sam Medina's resignation. Which he submitted Last Friday.
The council will now begin the process of choosing a replacement.

Mitch Satterwite is the acting city attorney, he was.appointed after Medina requested administrative leave in January following allegations of sexual misconduct by his estranged daughter-in-law.

The City Council has the option of hiring from within or conducting an external search.
