District 83 State Representative Charles Perry has filed for reelection. He faces another rematch with the former District 83 officeholder Delwin Jones. Jones has also filed in the GOP primary.
Perry said his handling of the office over the past two years proves he is qualified.
"Honesty, transparency, following through on what you tell your constituents your going to do is important, I am not about false promises or false hopes, or false choices," Perry said.
Perry said agriculture and water are the major issues for his district.
In regards to politics a federal judge has approved to shift the primaries from March to April. The Republican and Democratic parties have selected April 3rd to hold the primaries. The state was forced to delay the vote because of redistricting.
