A team from Lubbock's Salvation Army could leave as early as Wednesday to assist the relief effort in Moore, Okla.
Lubbock's chapter of the Salvation Army have been placed on alert.
Salvation Army already has many crews in Moore, manning multiple canteens and shelters.
Justin Eatherly said they will make sure responders and victims are taken care of.
"We will provide water and food to the first responders," Eatherly said, "and any victims that were affected. We might also have some clean-up kits for families to clean up their houses if they are still standing."
Eatherly said monetary donations are most needed. For example, a $10 donation feeds a disaster survivor for one day.
