Kids around the Lubbock area have spent the last few weeks learning different ways to earn money by participating in Lemonade Day. Thursday, young lemonade vendors learned about building an old fashioned, wood-framed lemonade stand.

The lessons are to help encourage entrepreneurship for Lubbock youth. On May 4, kids will put what they've learned to the test by holding a lemonade stand.

On Thursday, employees with Betenbough Homes taught participants how to build their own stand from scratch.

Ron Betenbough said, "They don't have to do that, you know, they can do this with a card table. It's not a problem, but some of the kids last year thought you know, I'd like to step up a notch and I'd like to have a real lemonade stand."
