Nine Lubbock ISD schools have made a state list that none want to be on. The Texas Education Agency released the annual Public Education Grant Program list.

It's comprised of schools that received the lowest state accountability rating in 2011, 2010 or 2009, or that had 50 percent or more students fail any part of the TAKS test in 2 of the 3 years.

Parkway and Hodges elementary schools are on the list, as are Alderson, Atkins, Dunbar and Slaton middle schools. All high schools except Lubbock High are on the list as well.

Students in those schools can request to transfer to other campuses.

LISD released this statement: "Historically, very, very few parents have chosen to move their children to other campuses. Parents understand that one accountability measure is not a complete picture of what is happening academically on the campus."
