Texas Tech's Provost appoints an Interim Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences following the promotion of Doctor Lawrence Schovanec, who was recently named Interim President of the university.
Jeffrey Williams is an anthropology professor and the former chair of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work.
He was appointed Associate Dean of Finance for the college in fall 2010.
He will hold the position presumably until a new president is named, at which point that person will decide whether he stays on permanently.
