Health rankings have been released for every county in the United States, and Lubbock ranked 159 out of 232 counties in Texas.
The findings are based on health behaviors criteria such as alcohol intake and diet and exercise, access to clinical care, economic factors including unemployment and children in poverty, and environmental factors.
Many of Lubbock's numbers were impacted by teen births, STD's and poverty.
By was of comparison, Midland County ranked 38, Dallas County was 67th, and Travis County came in at 12th.
