Southbound drivers on US 87 will see traffic reduced to one lane between Farm-to-Market Road 1585 and the Lynn County line. The pinch comes due to the Texas Department of Transportation's $6.8 million dollar roadway improvement project.
Work will include repaving, adding deceleration lanes, widening crossovers and re-striping. TxDOT urges drivers to use caution when driving through the work zone.
The project is set to be completed sometime in October.
