Cochran County man indicted on arson charges

A suspect accused of starting a fire that destroyed a church in Morton, was indicted by the Cochran County grand jury.
19-year-old Aaron Angel Trinidad is accused of arson involving a house of worship.

That specific allegation, enhances the arson charge to a first degree felony, which carries a sentence from 5 to 99 years or life in prison.
The December fire gutted Morton's First United Methodist Church a few hours before Sunday morning services.

The state fire marshal and agents from the bureau of alcohol tobacco and firearms assisted in the investigation.
Trinidad has been jailed in Cochran County since his arrest.
