City of Lubbock hosting citywide march and food drive

A city wide march and canned food drive is taking place next week to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s 'I Have a Dream' speech. The march is set for Wednesday, August 28 at 6:30 p.m.

It will commence at Estacado High School, located 1504 E Itasca. It concludes at Martin Luther King Drive  and 4th Street.

Food collection barrels are available at the Estacado and MLK bingo parking lots. The event is sponsored by pastor Chris Moore and Victory in Praise Church.
