Grand Jurors in Castro County indicted 24-year old Serillo DeLeon, accusing him of fatally shooting 28-year-old Jared Kelley.
Deputies found Kelley's body in a pickup truck in a rural area 75 miles from Lubbock on November 9th, hours after Lubbock police received a 911 call from a man claming he'd killed someone.
Investigators looking into the caller's story arrested Serillo DeLeon and his brother Monico DeLeon on outstanding warrants unrelated to the slaying.
Both men remain jailed in Lubbock County.
Bond for the murder charge against Serillo DeLeon is $25,000 dollars.
