Brownfield police released new information on the domestic dispute that turned deadly for a couple and their son-in-law.

Police Chief Tony Serbantez reports a handgun was found in the car of the suspected killer, 42-year-old Jose Roel de Luna, who was killed in crash three miles west of Plains about an hour after he reportedly murdered his in-laws.

The murders happened in the 600 block of east Main Street. Just after noon Tuesday, police found the bodies of 70-year-old Jesus Contreras and 63-year-old Rosa Contreras inside their home. Serbantez said de Luna went to the Contreras' house looking for his estranged wife, their daughter.
