Billy the Kid is resting un-peacefully after his gravesite was disturbed by vandals.The vandals entered the Old Fort Sumner Museum cemetery in the early morning of June 16th and toppled the big common headstone shared by the infamous gunman and two members of his gang.
Although the headstone itself was not severely damaged, the concrete surrounding the burial site had to be replaced.
The vandals also broke into the museum stealing four antique firearms.
The investigation to catch the criminals continues.
