Police investigating bank robbery at 19th and Quaker

Lubbock Police are searching for a gunman who robbed the Lubbock National Bank branch at 19th Street and Quaker Avenue.

It happened at about 12:45, on Wednesday. No shots were fired during the heist and nobody was injured. Police say the robber displayed a gun, demanded cash, and fled on foot.

Nearby Rush Elementary School was placed on lockdown as a precaution during the manhunt through surrounding neighborhoods.

The suspect male is about 6 foot 2 inches tall weighing between 170 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a ski mask and had on a red shirt with a distinctive gray stripe.
