A now former Hockley County jailer is held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a drug possession charge.

Daliah Jill DeLeon, 38, was arrested Tuesday by undercover LPD narcotics officers acting on a tip. Hockley County Chief Deputy James Warren said the sheriff fired DeLeon as soon as he was notified of her arrest. Warren said the department has a "zero tolerance policy".

DeLeon has been a Hockley County jailer since 2009.
