Two executives of the former Highland Medical Center were sentenced for failing to pay the IRS taxes withheld from employees' paychecks. Federal Judge Sam Cummings orders Herschel Breig and James Cheek. Each will serve five years in prison.
Restitution of more than five million dollars was also ordered by the court. Back in February, Breig and Cheek pled guilty to failing to pay over withholding from December 2006 through May 2008. Court documents state Breig and cheek have paid a total of 120 thousand dollars in restitution to victims...as part of their plea agreements.The former Highland Hospital has since been sold to Grace Clinic's ownership company, which has never had any connection to the two men.
