A now-former Texas Tech football player faces a burglary charge. According to LPD, officers arrested 21-year old Daniel
Cobb Sunday.
He's accused of using force to enter another apartment in the complex where he lives and assaulting a woman inside.
The police report notes the door frame was damaged.
Athletics Department spokesman Blayne Beal said the junior outside linebacker from Kileen Ellison was dismissed from the team "on a violation of team rules."
Cobb started seven games last year but was playing third-string during pre-season workouts.
